Preschool & Kindergarten

Ages 3 -6 years old

The Preschool and Kindergarten Programs with Seneca Village Montessori School are both enriching and nurturing to your child.  The Primary program offers an unique, mixed-age classroom environment, for children 3 to 6 years old. Our program allows for children to learn by doing. The concrete materials in the classroom allow the children explore the world through their senses, through touch and motion, and by observing and engaging with others.

Students work with specially designed materials, manipulating and investigating until they master the lesson inside. Teachers are in the classroom as facilitators to help in guiding students through the curriculum, introducing lessons and then letting children practice what they have learned. As children grow, the classroom materials grow with them in the sense that older children use the materials to explore curriculum in new and deeper ways.

Preschool Programs At Our Brooklyn School

Our preschool programs offer a combination of individualized attention and independence focused learning.  Your child will leave Seneca Village Montessori School with a feeling of confidence and well being that will shape his or her childhood.

At our Brooklyn preschool, your child is treated with care and nurturing.  Our African centered curriculum offers children to learn the values of African culture and social responsibility at a very young age.  This helps them as they grow older to have enhanced understanding and a feeling of confidence regarding their background and cultural roots.

With our Brooklyn Montessori program and education, your child will be taught in a hands-on and engaging way.  Our Montessori curriculum also teaches a sense of independence and well-being in your child that is often neglected with other methods of teaching.
