Our Toddler Program

At Seneca Village Montessori School, our Toddler Program is thoughtfully designed to initiate the youngest learners into an educational journey that harmonizes Montessori principles with a curriculum that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the African Diaspora. Our program offers a nurturing, mixed-age classroom setting for children aged 2 to 3 years, promoting early social skills and peer interaction.

In our toddler classrooms, we create vibrant learning spaces that encourage active engagement through sensory-based activities. We utilize tactile and engaging materials that invite toddlers to discover the world by touching, moving, observing, and interacting directly with their environment. This approach helps to embed fundamental concepts and skills in ways that are meaningful and accessible to young minds.

Our educators serve as nurturing guides, introducing toddlers to early educational concepts through play and exploration. They provide the support and space necessary for toddlers to explore and engage with the learning materials at their own pace. This supportive method is aligned with our philosophy of encouraging independence, curiosity, and self-confidence from the earliest stages of education.

As our toddlers grow, the learning materials and activities are adapted to meet their developing needs and interests. This ensures that each child remains engaged and challenged, fostering a love for learning and discovery that will serve as the foundation for their future educational experiences. Our goal is to nurture young, inquisitive, and resilient learners who feel confident and connected to their cultural roots, setting the stage for them to thrive as they advance to higher levels of education within our school.
