Mama Sharifa, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Seneca Village Montessori School (founded in 2018), holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management & Finance from Brooklyn College and a Dual Master’s degree in Childhood Education and Special Education from Touro College. Transitioning from a career as a Marketing Manager to education, she has dedicated over 20 years to working with children.

Mama Sharifa, alongside her family, has made a beautiful home in Mexico. Despite the distance, she remains an integral part of our team, managing the school’s financial operations with the same dedication and insight she’s always brought to our community. Her journey from New York to Mexico underscores her commitment not just to our school, but to creating an educational environment that champions academic excellence alongside the development of confidence, creativity, and a strong sense of self. Together with Mama Isis, Sharifa founded Seneca Village Montessori in 2018, inspired by a shared commitment to enriching children’s lives and education. Their vision continues to guide our mission, shaping a nurturing space where young minds can thrive.
