Mama Taswya, affectionately called Mama T by our school community, is the esteemed Educational Director at our institution. With a rich academic background, including a Masters of Science in Curriculum Planning and Instruction and a B.A. in General and Special Education from Brooklyn College, as well as certification from the NAMC Montessori Educators Program, Mama T brings over 15 years of invaluable early childhood education experience to our team.

Her teaching philosophy centers on engaging the “whole child,” nurturing their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in a holistic manner. Mama T’s passion for education is driven by her love for her community and her belief in the transformative power of education as a cornerstone of Black Liberation. She is dedicated to shaping the minds of our youth, understanding that through education, we can inspire a new generation of leaders and change-makers.
